Three Kids??????????????

What were we thinking. But how could we be a family without Sweet Sam!

My Family

Jackson is so proud and I think Harper is too. She always says she wants to hold "baby" not Sam or our baby but simply "baby". I have tried to get a picture of this occurence but as soon as I place Sam in Harper's lap she is ready for me to take him back. I guess it takes time to fall in love for her. Good girl Harper!

Henry Samuel Avery

like the one with the Duke fan, I mean the father?!

Getting ready . . .

for baby Sam. I thought it might be a good idea to start talking about Sam so Jackson and Harper would get excited about his arrival. It lasted all of twenty minutes.

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids loved going on their first hunt especially with Grandaddy Bert!

I'm Two

These pictures are from the kids joint birthday party. It was so much fun seeing all the different ages play pretty well together. The second picture is with our good friend Maggie - who I hope to marry off to Jackson one day! Oh, check out the belly in the first picture - yep thats me. The last picture is of the shirts that we made as party favors thanks to my genious sister, Kristin and good friend, Liz. Jackson's shirt had Power Rangers on it - of course!

I'm Four

We made cupcakes for Jackson to take to school to celebrate his fourth birthday. He loved it and so did Mommy and Daddy - because we got to keep the leftovers!

Snow in the Ham

An unexpected surprise a few weeks ago was a pretty good snow for Alabama one morning around 9 am. It was great to show the kids something they have never seen before. We did not stay out long as Jackson realized that snow is very COLD and wet! I think Harper was more excited about her Krispy Kreme than the snow. Just like her mom.

New Years at the Beach

We loved getting away after Christmas for a much needed break. Jackson loved playing on the beach and did not want to leave. Harper one the other hand did not like the sand at all. THey both thought the sparklers were fantastic and wanted to stay up all night. They probably would have made it up for the New Year better than me or Dan.

Hold me close . . .

a tiny dancer. Enough said.

Christmas at Church

Harper looked so pretty in her Christmas dress that mommy had to get a picture with her! Jackson was all consummed with the nativity that some sweet ladies in our church made for the chapel. He really wanted to play with it and did not understand why baby Jesus was breakable. My only response was that ours wasn't but some peoples are.

Reindeer food and Christmas PJ's

Thanks to sweet Kate , Joe and Jim Jackson and Harper got to leave Reindeer food out Christmas Eve. We had fun seeing how much the reindeers eat. Santas not the only one that needs food. The Christmas Pj picture is one of my favorites. I loved getting matching pajamas growing up and so we have continued the tradition.

Christmas 07

We had more fun at Moo Moo's house with all of our cousins. We missed sweet Allison who was at home sick. Can you believe how big our family is now? One more one the way and Moo Moo will have 9 grandkids! The next two pictures are from our annual Erickson Family Christmas. Harper loved her barbie purse and so did cousin Beth - "hands off" Harper says. She is smiling but really she is pissed that Beth wont leave her stuff alone!

Zoolight Safari

What a cool city we have. We have never experienced Zoolight Zafari and since we are members we decided to go the friday before Christmas - another one of our new traditions. It was wonderful. The kids were so excited and kept asking if the animals were all "lit up". We will diffently be back next year!

Jackson LIVE

The first performance of my first born. The day was very exciting- no pressure but surely my son will be sweet, enthusiastic and sing every song with joy in his heart! Right. Wrong. He was the ONLY one not singing or paying attention and his sweet friend next to him, Gram, bless his heart was pestered by Jackson the entire performance. All we could do was laugh with great joy that he was all ours!

Getting ready for Christmas

I thought it would be a great idea to start a tradition of making a gingerbread house with the kids. Ours was a little sad but it has stayed until mid January. The pills holding it up are from Dan's neck surgery - so we where very resourceful!!! The next two picuters are right before Harper and Jacksons last day of school before the holidays and also the day of Jackson's first program.

My little Reindeer and Indian?

Right before Christmas Jackson came home with several different art projects from school. One night Harper and Jackson played for almost an hour woth the reindeer and Indian ones. They were too cute and I wish I had it on video because of what they were saying!
